I've been there. Took me four years to confess to the guy I liked. He told me, as kindly as he could, that I was a great girl, but he would never date me.
That was, oh, about two years ago?
So as much as I want to tell you that everything will work out fine, honestly, what I've learned is that if he doesn't "see" you, he's not worth pursuing. I know now that I need a guy who will look at me and think I'm amazing without me having to make any kind of special effort. It hurts way too much to make the first move only to get my heart broken.
I know it sucks, but hang in there.
And keep looking out for that someone who will look at you and think you're just too amazing to pass up.
