My first relationship wasn't until i was 16. And it didn't work out. I'm now 19 and haven't had a boyfriend since. I'm quite happy with my decision.
Just because everyone around you is dating, doesn't mean that you HAVE to date as well. Make decisions based on what YOU want, not what other's are pressuring you to do.
I, too, am afraid of crying in front of people. I hate it with a passion. It makes me feel weak and vulnerable. I feel like an attention whore, even when I'm not.
I only like physical contact from my parents and my sister, and even then it's only brief hugs. Anyone else who touches me makes my skin crawl.
I wouldn't say that I am afraid of people, I just don't like them.
I've always hated being judged. Being bullied for 10 years did NOT help that.
