I used to do that too, ever since I realized there was something really wrong between myself and my so-called "best friend". But the painful truth is that... No matter what... New friends can never, ever take the place of old ones. Sometimes it's best to move on, anyway. You have to get away from the people that do nothing but hurt you... And eventually learn to take chances by making new friends. It won't be so bad, you'll see. There are people out there who can and will hurt you, however... There are just as many who won't do that, and who are true friends.
