It's time to confront them...
MemoriesOfErika Featured By Owner Sep 20, 2010
I'm sorry, that sucks that they didn't tell you, but maybe they were trying to protect you. It was wrong, granted, you deserved to know. You should tell them that you know. Get it out of your system.

I would tell them, or ask them about it.

I don't get why parents always think that their kids aren't going to hear things if they talk about said things in the same house as their children.

We have the ears of bats. We can hear you.
GingerSpice019 Featured By Owner Feb 10, 2010
I definitely think you should talk to them about it.
violetteV Featured By Owner Feb 10, 2010
ask them! they'll explain.

Talk about it.
firedance99 Featured By Owner Feb 9, 2010
I agree with ~tassel. Good luck, ST

How do they treat you? If it's like if you were their own, then you shouldn't worry. They're most likely trying to spare your feelings; they may not think you're ready. Just sit them down and tell them you know.

This may cause some problems with you mentally/emotionally. It may even cause a rift between you and your parents as you get older. So, try not to keep it to yourself.

Best of luck~

Bring it up with them. It's not safe for your own personal health to keep something like this to yourself; especially somethig that wll eat at you... like this.

But do know that even if they haven't told you themselves, they love you more than anything. By all rights, these people are your parents and they have been there for you your whole life, and they will continue to be there for you no matter what challeges you face in life!

I think ~tassel said everything and is right about everything, listen to her words ST  :aww:

*hugs*i know how that feels ST, i heard my "parents" talking about mine too and I confronted them about it. it was hard but it helped alot If u ever wanna talk message me ok <3
admiration-nation Featured By Owner Feb 8, 2010
They love you more than any birthed child, because they picked you.

Getting it off your chest is going to make you feel better, but you can't guarantee if you'll be happy with the results that come with your confrontation. Some couples can't conceive, and it's not that big of a deal. That hasn't stopped your parents from loving you any less than they would a blood-child.

I definitely agree with this.

you need to talk to them, ST.
lavviexx Featured By Owner Feb 8, 2010
You should ask about it, maybe you will be surprised, I overheard my family talking about my cousin's adoption when I was 13 and only when I was 18 they told me about it but I had to play dumb with my mom
ErikaaBabee Featured By Owner Feb 9, 2010
Aww, yeah I agree go talk to them, you can't live a lie longer than this =(
lavviexx Featured By Owner Feb 9, 2010
To get my mom to talk I actually made observations like "Clara looks alot like her dad mom" that was when she told me the truth, try playing it like that like "Mom do I got this from your side of the family or Dad's?" or just come clean face to face with them
ErikaaBabee Featured By Owner Feb 9, 2010
I totally agree.. Then you'll see them hesitating and you can be like.. What's up? .. You know, that's a good idea =)
RipfangDragon Featured By Owner Feb 8, 2010  Professional General Artist
Ask about it. You're only hurting yourself by not bringing it up now. Good luck, ST.
