ST, you sound a lot like my boyfriend. And if you are, then you won't end up replying to this message anyway. I'll know you're not my boyfriend if I never get a reply back.

But yeah, boyfriend, not EXboyfriend. My guy came back and said something pretty close to this, with a lot of emphasis on the "I made a mistake" bit. And I was upset at first. Not because I didn't want him back, but because I thought he was giving up a dream of his just to be with me again.

And then he told me that *I* was his dream, and I just about melted.

Long story short, I accepted him back with the widest open arms I've got, and we've got a much deeper and meaningful relationship because of the time we grew when we were apart. We're also so much more grateful for the little things about one another, because we know what it's like not to have them at all.

So, if you are my boyfriend, you submitted this a couple weeks before you came back, and now you're reading this over my shoulder and refusing to admit it was actually you.

If you're not my boyfriend, well, I'd say take advice from our example. Go back to whoever your loved one is and tell them this. If they love you, they'll love you saying this. If they refuse to accept it at all, then you deserve to move on. Just realize that even if your person does love you, they've probably been hurt a bit. When my guy came back, I was saying he should leave again and forget about me and go back to his dream, blah blah blah, all through which I was hugging him and burying my face in his shoulder, so he knew that even if I said one thing with my words, my body language was saying that I wanted him back anyway. Just don't accept "No" as an answer too quickly if it seems like your person is conflicted is my only advice.
