i'm not proud of America because i was BORN here. I'm proud of America because IT IS WHO I AM. so are you saying its IRRATIONAL for me to love WHO I AM? America is my HOME, a place where I can BELONG. I am PROUD of the US troops, I am PROUD of our freedom, I am PROUD that we were able to break free, I an PROUD of what america stands for. Are you saying my patriotism is IRRATIONAL?!?!?!? Well I'm sorry but I don't take kind to people dissing me and i especially don't take well to people dissing on America. you say national pride is cheap? Well you're right. you could be dirt poor or a multimillionaire and still have national pride.:flagus::flagus::flagus:

That's like choosing to not love a child because you didn't maticulously plan every moment of their birth and childhood.

Love doesn't mean that you have to have a tangible or concsious attatchment to said object. You love it for it. and if you don't, you carry on without making a big deal about it. Being proud of a country is not irrational if it brings you pride, just like anything else.
