I know how you feel.
I'm usually the happy one. I fake a smile because my friends and family don't expect me to be affected by things. The second I just need to take down the mask and show how I really feel, people start acting funny. If I'm anything but happy and cheerful people start getting all moody and pissed off with me. They tell me to stop being stupid, and don't understand that I can't be happy all the time. Things are going to happen, that will make me sad or angry, yet for some reason people don't seem to understand, that like they take moments to be sad or angry I need to do the same.

You should be yourself. People are'nt always going to like you for things you do or feel, but it hurts when you can't express yourself. Its okay to feel a vast variety of emotions - we're only human.
Try speaking to the people who expect you to be happy all the time, try get them to understand that you are only human.

I have exactly the same feeling. In the group I'm in, I'm the clown who makes jokes constantly, who grosses them out, I'm the boyish female who's, like, yeeeah 8-) :lol:
But if I ever get upset, or if I ever cry it really throws them off balance. So I try to be happy all the time.

Point is, you lose sight of yourself because of what other people expect you to be.
Don't do that. Try and be you! Not everyone is going to like it, but is everyone going to like constantly happy you?
Different people liek different things. <3

:hug: If you need practice being yourself when you're upset, start with one or two people - close friends who you are comfortable around. If you start getting worse in terms of upset, extend that group somewhat for who you trust, even if you keep it private. Don't overwhelm them, but be comfortable.
