Long distance relationships -do- work, there's no need to prove it unless you're actually -in- one. I'm in a ldr, I should know. My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 months, truly love each other, and want nothing more than to be together, but we're over 3,000 miles away. Not to be mean, but I think you should consider yourself lucky if you live only 40 minutes away. That's not long-distance.
