I don't think you're pathetic but I do wish you could reorganize your ideals. A boyfriend isn't more important or a greater achievement than getting really good grades. Those grades are going to support you so you don't have to have a man to support you one day. Trust me, you would rather be able to support yourself than leaning on someone else. Especially if that support fails one day, where does that put you?
