I wish I had other options too. We lack them so much. I'm dropping out because of it. I think it'll make me happier to jump to a college even though I can't get into a good one yet.

Hopefully you do something to better fit you.

I was homeschooled for my high school life.
I was completely and utterly miserable. I wanted the high school life. People told me it I didn't miss much, but because they only experienced what they wanted.

I would have thrown myself to the wolves and crawled out with the alpha male's skull.

High school sucks. College is much better.

I agree. I wanted to drop out my junior year and try unschooling. My mom said we would discuss it after I pased my junior year, but my father wouldn't hear of it. So come September, I'll be back in school... But thankfully I will only have to take 1 or 2 classes that I didn't choose because tehre aren't many required classes for seniors. If you'd like to discuss this with them let me recommend the book The Teenage Liberation Handbook: How to Quit School and Get a Real Life and Education by Grace Llewellyn. I have it, it's great. If it doesn't work out, just stick it through. If they're going to make you, you might as well just get the diploma. It'll make life easier anyway (as much as I hate to say it).

I feel you. I still have one more year to go and it's going to be the longest year ever. I don't know how much longer you have but just hang in there, you can do it!

Blehh. I know what you mean, kiddo. I just graduated and I am so glad to be out of there. I'm not sure if you had the same thing, but for me it was the people. But senior year will go by really fast. You'll get to winter break, then spring break, and then boom, graduation. You can make it!

Wow. :[ I know a lot of people hate (my) high school, but I enjoy it. It was so much better than middle school; I've got three years to go, but I'm scared. ><

Me too....
But you can pull through. It can't be much longer now. What's a few years to a whole lifetime?

I don't know what your homelife is like, but you might have other options. I'd check out the Teenage Liberation Handbook, by Grace Llewellyn. Highschool is not the only way to get educated, and probably not even the best. Whatever you end up doing, I pray you find a way to be happy.
