This one honestly could have been by me, but there is one difference. I didn't keep it a secret. I told him the truth.

I couldn't be happier for him. Sure, it hurts me in the long run, but I know that he's happy with her and that's what really matters to me.

He was worried he'd lose me as a friend, so I had to reassure him. I told him exactly what this secret says. I played off the "devastated" bit though..

"Sure, I'm sad, but who wouldn't be? I'll be fine, I promise." -- I haven't kept the promise yet. It still hurts on occasion. He was the first guy to ever show interest in me, afterall.

oh my....i felt the same for someone. it doesnt easethe hurt at all though. wishing them well while lying in bed staring at the ceiling was a pretty miserable feeling for me....so i really do sympathize with you :( im sorry for you....but hang in there..
