Find a place where no one knows you and create a new image.
Show your true colors cause if it doesn't work out, you can always try again.

Then show yourself! Let go of all those lies, and start anew. Don't wait to set yourself free when its already too late, because then you'll be stuck FOREVER. Don't be afraid of what people will think of you. You're family and friends will always love you, no matter what.

A couple of days ago, i was thinking this same thing, and i grabbed a piece of paper and i wrote with awful caligraphy: "LIIIIIIEEEEEERRRR" and stabbed it with the pen, then saved it on an old notebook.
Forgive yourself, promise not to do it anymore, try to not stress.
Works for every kind of regret.

I know someone who means the world to me, but who lied so much.
I could see through his lies though, but because he was so unhappy inside of himself, his life was so shattered and jaggered, as he told me, I understood why he lied so much.
I don't get to see him anymore and although I'm not lonely in life, I am lonely not being with him.
I wish he was here with me, I'd much rather him to be here than not, but I will never get to tell him now.

Talk to her, let her know so at least something can get sorted out. I wasn't given that chance and that hurts like hell. ;-)
I wish you all the best.

I used to lie about a lot of little things. I got a boyfriend. And he's honest as they come, if not more so [he can't lie to save his life. XD]. I stopped dead.

:iconconfidencealive: is right. Putting the real you out there is really scary. Talking about yourself honestly is opening yourself up to any attack someone can launch your way. But it's better to become tougher and take the beating, and find who really loves who you are, than to hide behind a mask and know that the people who love you love the mask, not you for who you really are.

I lie to make my life seem more interesting to others. Because I think that otherwise everyone will notice how boring and lonely my life really is.

Find 1 person--a coworker, a friend, maybe even a total stranger (might be best since odds are that you'll never see them again)--and open up about 1 thing. Or do what I did and write it down all in one go. Once it's out, telling the truth to other people will get a little easier.

Time and time again I wanted to submit a fake secret. To have it posted and have people feel sorry for me. Feel sorry for the fake me that they wouldn't know about. To be left wondering about me. Stupid things like that. But its okay. Don't worry. Youre just a normal human being.

There, see! You just said the truth. You've taken the first step already.

All the lies are built to hide the truth. What truth are they built to hide? Think it over, cuz, if you think hard enough, you'll find the answer. And you'll like what you find - the real you.

if you know your problem, this is the first step :) than you can try not to lie in little things :) and see how good it is that somebody knows you right:meow:
glassmagnolia Featured By Owner May 6, 2013  Hobbyist
You're lying might be some kind of defense mechanism and you've grown so use to relying on it to protect you that you can't stop. I'm not a doctor of course, just speculating. Don't take this as an insult, it's not: but you may need to see a professional that can help you beat this.
WaffleOfTheElements Featured By Owner May 6, 2013
It WILL get better! :)

you just took the first step right here :) by admitting that you have a problem and being HONEST about it, maybe you can keep stepping :)

I have the same problem... I'm fighting it as hard as I can...
confidenceAlive Featured By Owner May 6, 2013  Hobbyist Writer
It isn't true. Because you're believing someone else's lie about you. You aren't hopeless, and you aren't chronic. Maybe a little rough around the edges, but we all are.

So do you wanna know some truth?

You are so much more than just hopeless; you have a purpose and potential. You are valuable, and you are worthy to be valued and loved. Letting people see the real you is a huge risk, takes a lot of vulnerability and is pretty darn scary, I know, especially if you've been hiding a long time. But it's never too late to start, and you have all the power you need to overcome the lies you've been believing. Believe in yourself instead of the lies--believe that you're someone worth seeing.
