somewhere someone might think your voice is the most beautiful =) please dont hate it
fizzymoth Featured By Owner May 25, 2013
i cry because my voice is so boyish, and it's my boyfriend that has such a wonderful voice.
but there's a girl i know that im jealous of for her beautiful voice
Tobassinesia Featured By Owner May 25, 2013
Two people have confused me for a boy... one was a boy of around my age. I love it though. It makes me feel like a dude.
TheGeekQueen Featured By Owner May 15, 2013  Hobbyist Artist
So? I sound like a boy too. I just use that to my advantage. I like to copy people and noises I hear. I do accents well and apparently can do amazing pokemon imitations. Everything about you is special you just have to find a way to make it even better.
CareerFromDistrict4 Featured By Owner May 10, 2013  Student General Artist
Don't worry I also have a low voice for a girl. It's alright.
DarkestDalight Featured By Owner May 9, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
I have the same issue, and she is probably says she doesn't think she is good singer or something like that? I know, my voice is manly, several strangers have told me that, when I shout, i sound like a man going through puberty x.x But I don't let it hold me back, because I get attention when I want it by shouting, some people make jokes, but these are mostly men whose voices are higher than mine... I call them Justin Biebers XD Most people tease out of jealously, don't let this get into your friendship, one day someone will come along who admires your voice and think it is as beautiful as you believe it is not :) Live happy, it is the only way to survive this messed up world, send me a message anytime if you need to talk :) Have a wonderful Life!!
Cats-over-Dogs Featured By Owner May 9, 2013  Hobbyist Artist
Well, don't hate it too much. Please?
You have exactly what I want. ^^

'Your voice sounds like a boy' was probably not intended as an insult.

How I feel exactly. Especially when my voice has been recorded. ERUGH.

You're not alone.

(~Umioko, same here. Great knowing I was never alone.)
JLD816 Featured By Owner May 7, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
This is how I feel around one of my friends.
Umioko Featured By Owner May 6, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
I also have a rather boyish voice. Pretty stupid of me, but that's why I fake a soft, girly voice. I've done that for years, but I'm starting to do it less and less now. It's not worth it now that I'm getting a bit more comfortable with my regular voice. That, and it's annoying to keep up.
Learn to like your voice. c:
GalooGameLady Featured By Owner May 6, 2013  Student Filmographer
I'm so glad my voice has never been one of those high-pitched whiny girl voices. :)
Cherish yours, and use it well!
MarianaCepas Featured By Owner May 6, 2013
Put your phones and listening to your music. Do something that when you do it you forget about those stupid comments.

And in case they want an awser just say:

I PUT MY PHONES TO EAR MUSIC, NO BICHES. or something that shut them and go away.
MockingJay1256 Featured By Owner May 6, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
My voice has been scratchy and lower than most girls because I rarely talked in elementary school... It still is kind of, but it makes me who I am today and you should see the same thing. :) You are amazing and, believe me, someone out there will love YOUR voice c:
Kumaponpon Featured By Owner May 6, 2013  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
i answered the phone one time and was mistaken for my dad.
it used to bother me until i realized that i can sing like a guy as well. i sing with my friends and im the only one that can go low enough to sing certain parts and i sound pretty good (not to be boasting) most of the time, ive learned to like my deep voice.
also, if you have a high pitched voice, it makes you sound less intelligent
Debstarr Featured By Owner May 6, 2013  Student General Artist
I also have a deep voice for a girl. It's one of the many things that I've been bullied with.
Sometimes I still hate it, but it has it perks.

My own voice is as I said deep for a girl, but it's also quite strong. When giving presentations it's very nice actually. While others can hardly be heard halfway the room already my voice carries through the room so the people in the back can listen, without deafening those in the first row. Besides that, it's often easier to listen to than very high-pitched voices. :)
Speak with confidence and don't let those people get to you! If people judge you because of your voice, then those people aren't worth listening to anyways. (although I know it's hard sometimes)

I don't know how old you are, but your voice may still raise a bit in pitch over the years, I know mine did. :)
Broken-Heart-Girl16 Featured By Owner May 6, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
Holy shit. I know exactly how you feel.
OneMoreTragedy Featured By Owner May 6, 2013  Hobbyist Digital Artist
I have a deep voice too. :( It's not even that I sound like a guy, cause I'd love too, I just sound like I'm holding my nose or something. I just sound horrible... I love making videos for Youtube, gaming videos, but it's so hard for me to actually record because I'm so embarrassed of my voice... :( I can't wait to start on T on the hopes that it'll fix it.
KrumGirl Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist Writer
Don’t let comments like that put you down!

I think girls who have a deep voice are so so so hot!

The low tone is a huge contrast against a feminine personality and oh gosh is such a turn on ;)

Don’t worry u will find someone who will love you because of the tone of your voice and not despite it.
LilyBenet Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
Sounds like me.

Funny how, when I open my mouth to sing, it comes out all soprano-like.

I know, I have such a low voice... I know my voice sounds pretty when I go higher so I try. Cause my voice is ugly. But in the end, there's nothing I can do about it. So I look at all the girls I know, whether my peers or celebrities, and pick out the ones with low, nasally, or just not typically feminine sounding voices. And then I feel a little better, cause I'm not alone. YOU'RE not alone.
Yukina868 Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist Photographer
Dude, don't take it too seriously they're just joking around. I have the same problem, but instead of feeling down i go with the flow. I say stupid things like "i know, I've been practicing." or something lame so you can just laugh at it.
notpolydactylic Featured By Owner May 5, 2013
I have a deep voice too, and get mistaken for a man on the phone all the time.

But you know what? For every one time that's happened, I've gotten 10 compliments from all sorts of people saying how lovely and distinctive it sounds, with a few guys telling me it sounds downright sexy in person.

Except when I'm sick, then I sound like one of those middle aged women who've been chainsmoking since they were kids and have to cart around an oxygen tank.
NelloCrayon Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist Writer
I have a deep voice too, that I hate also. I sound like a dude in recordings, so I never speak when a camera is out. But someone has told me they think I would be a beautiful singer with a deep voice. Some girls are famous for their deep voices. Keep on hoping!
RavynRaver Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
I have a deep voice too. But you know what? I can sing from bass to soprano. Try out singing lower. You get people to stop with that too. :)
sarah-jg Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
i too have a very dude sounding sucks, but when you stop thinking about it, people don't usually notice anymore
WaffleOfTheElements Featured By Owner May 5, 2013
My voice is quite low too! Then it goes all squeaky when I laugh!! Hahaha!
Don't worry, deep voices are awesome ;) I hope you learn to like it :)
koshplappit Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
I have a lower voice too. I often think it's weird. But let me tell you something- when I began to really pay attention to everyone elses' tones I realized how unique each person has it. It's something you can't control, and I'm sure many people (especially girls) hate how they sound. But when you listen to other people's voices, you can often find beauty in the strangeness of each one. I realized that if someone were to listen to my voice they might find beauty in it too. Instead of hyperfocusing on the singer, pay attention to other people's voices as well. And don't ignore your own gifts- everyone has their own gifts.
FabulousMoustache Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
I think girls with deeper voices are awesome!

I guess I'm pretty much the opposite here though. I have a fairly high voice for a guy. I don't really realize it so much until I here my voice recorded but it really does make me a little self-conscious.
emoturtlefrk Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist Digital Artist
own it girl! i got told all the time when i was little that i sounded like a dude, but after a point i didn't care. Tomboy-it-up! Do things you wanna do, turn yourself into the person you wanna be, and in time, you won't even care how your voice sounds. Trust me ;)
KA-KeitorinArtist Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Student Digital Artist
I know a singer who sounds like a guy but isn't and you want to know something. I lover her voice. The only way to change how you speak is to practice hitting high notes. I used to die before I hit the highest not in phantom of the opera. I can now hit it perfectly and then go higher. I can also go pretty deep because, deep is my natural vocal cords.
iShyNightmare Featured By Owner May 5, 2013
Dude, I know how it feels. Everybody tells me I sound like a boy too. I get it every day. And pretty much music is my passion, and I love to sing, but I sound like a guy who's singing. D:
limeheer Featured By Owner May 5, 2013
a deep voice is beautiful to :) it just depends on who is hearing it. on top of that you are your own worst criticizer
shadow0071 Featured By Owner May 5, 2013
same, i have a really deep voice for a girl, i too have often been told i sound like a boy. but dont hate your voice, for it is simply different, like every voice on the planet.
Kokorookaikasuru Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Student General Artist
I have that boy voice too.
Don't hate yourself for it, because even if you did have a girl's voice, there's no guarantee that you'd be a great singer (that often takes years of practice), and just because you have a boy's voice doesn't mean your voice is bad either, just different.
littleangeldevil1004 Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Student Traditional Artist
Hey. My voice cracks, and I'm pretty sure it's not puberty.

Many people think 96neko is a dude because of her voice, and she sings beautifully.
sashastar123 Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Student General Artist
I naturally have a really deep voice for a girl and generally have to 'put on a voice' when I go out (aka; speaking higher when in public and school). I think the only people who know how low my voice actually is are my family.

But seriously, don't hate yourself or your friend for your voice. Best advice I can give; enjoy being you, honestly.
water16dragon Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
I don't like my voice either >.< When I hear my voice I think I sound like Alphonse Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist (i like FMA but I don't like sounding like a boy) :P
Deus-Nocte Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Professional Digital Artist
I have a deeper voice for a female, and I know a few friends with even deeper voices than mine--but honestly, I like it that way. I prefer deeper voices across the board, in both genders, and actually can't stand the really high pitched ones. :XD: so don't get yourself down about it, not everyone thinks you need a feminine voice. (as made obvious by the comments)
Jinx-The-Witch102 Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Student General Artist
I used to sing and play instruments all the time when I was little. But I had a accident and couldn't play my guitar for a long time. When I went back to school, and I was able to start playing instruments again I found I just couldn't make myself play anything besides the drums, and I never got a chance to play those because of the boys. My voice had changed slightly during/after the accident, and I ended up sounding like a posh boy- I'm the opposite of posh and defienetly a girl (You would not believe the amount of questions I got asked about it, and how many more people called me a liar -_-"). I guess that's where I lost my passion for making music, but I hold all the respect I can for those who do just that at my school :I
Eventually I found a new talent for drawing though, which is a great vent at times. And if it's really that bad for you ST, there are other ways to communicate, and/or your voice might change in time :3
XShadow-Wolf-DemonX Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Student Writer
I feel exactly the same, just like so many of the other girls here. Heck, I can't even sing properly. Then there are those really talented girls who are amazing but don't acknowledge it at all. :c
Piidge Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
Ah, yes, I have the same exact problem.
I sound like a young teenage boy that is always on a cold.
Haha and I have lots of friends that have nice voices and singing voices.
But, really, I don't care what others think of my voice. If I sound like a guy, good. I want to be a guy sometimes.
But, I do feel the horrible emotion of that jealousy, as well.
We all have our times of jealousy.
Don't worry, your voice will sound better as you grow up vuv
NeneKanerva Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
Woah, this is sounds so damn much like my best friend... She has a very low voice and she hates it, while people tell me that when I sing I sound like a goddess. (But I don't believe in that XD)
AnnissXD Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
Theres nothing wrong with deep voices! (Okay maybe if youre gonna do something that needs high, thin voice)
I have a dark voice, but then its easier for me to be taken seriously. You sound more adult when you have a dark voice.
And also, why do you want to have a voice like all the other girls? :3
TheatherOfAWitch Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
This sounds just like me, once the lady from the pharmacy on the phone said "thank you young man" and I had to tell her I was a girl -_-
valkyrie1858 Featured By Owner May 5, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
I have a deep voice (for a girl) too, but I never let it get to me, it sometimes makes me smile, because when I get sick it gets even deeper, I've been told I have a sexy man voice, I'm sure you have just as beautiful and sexy a voice as I have, and I'm sure your friend would tell you that too.
