DESIGN TUTORIAL - BASIC CHARACTER CREATIONYo! I get a lot of questions on how I create my characters, such as how do I come up with color schemes, markings, the basic idea, all that cool stuff~ X3
So I'd thought I do a little design tutorial. This is a TEXT based tutorial, meant to give the tricks/tips that I use.
So prepare to read! I will be using my characters as examples.
This tutorial covers design tips for both ANIMALS AND HUMANS.
KEEP IN MIND THAT THESE ARE TIPS AND TRICKS THAT I USE.
EVERYONE MAY HAVE A DIFFERENT PROCEDURE.
The Idea: Where and How Do I start?
So you want to create a new character huh? But you don't know where to start with the process....Hmm. When I'm coming up with a new character, I start with the personality about 75% of the time. It doesn't have to be in-depth, just basic personality traits.
So for example I might want a character that is:
- Loud, aggressive, rude, doesn't give a fuck about anythi
True FriendRemember the city
Remember the town
Remember the place
That we hung around
We ran through the rain
Laughing and skipping
We came back inside
Giggling and dripping
So many years later
We've grown far apart
But we somehow came back
And gave a new start
Our laugher resumed
and so did our play
but one day you promised
that even to this day
"Nothing will come between us
I'll always be there
You will always be my friend
and you know I'll always care"
With a smile and a wink
You gave me a hug
And there in your arms
I was so safe and so snug
But little did I know
that was the last time I'd see you
For when the knews was spoken the next day
There was no doubting it was true
MLP dragons and how they operate (In theory)First of all, Why dosn't Spike have wings like the other dragons we've seen?? Is the term "Dragon" a catch all for any reptile that breaths fire like how "Cat" can mean anything from a Tiger to a Tabby and Spike just happens to be a different "Species" of dragon from the Heraldic Dragons we've seen thus far?????
We the audiance haven't been told a lot about how dragons operate in this universe, thus like the ponies and Spike himself, know little about them. Surprisingly the episode that gives us the most information is "Dragon Quest", but not because of what we're told, but because of what we can extrapolate and what can be compared to real world animal behavior .
First, consitering that this comparison to this real worls animal will come up the most, I feel that it would be a good idea to go alittle bit about African Elephant beahvior. In an episode of animal planets Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, an African national park (I don't recall wit
InformationBlake that little thieve is back, or should we call her Renkat now?
I watched her awhile because many people told me that she wanted to change herself (again..)
And now, what must we see? She is stealing characters, styles and is even tracing from Photos (she isn't referencing them, she is tracing them!)
She doesn't even paid the Points back that she stole WolfHearts got once her password from her parents on her feakin Account to pay the Points back that feakin still had, that wasn't enough for all those poor people - Blake got enough Time and Points to pay them all back but instead of changing herself she is still stealing.
Don't think her "haters" are trolls. She made them by herself, she had more than 50 Accounts here and on everyone she stole drawings - even tried to sell drawings from others, and she won't stop - even if she doesn't steal public anymore, stealing characters and copying Styles isn't better!

Artist Association? - Commissions and UnderpricingI'd like to appeal to every artist (ESPECIALLY for those who offer commissions) to read this.
Please consider to SHARE THIS, if art means anything to you. Thanks!
Building an Artist Association? - About Commissions and Underpriced Art
So underpriced art has always been a well-known problem in the artist society; Be it visual arts or artisan and crafts, literature or any other artform. This is a huge problem for every professional artist who depends on living from art.
Only because art seems to be something anybody can do, it is often less respected than renown occupations such as doctors or engineers.
As an illustration student I know it is more or less the same thing though. There is always need for art (e.g. advertising, logos, book illustrations) just as there is need for doctors and engineers. In
Contest is Over!I want to thank everyone who participated in my contest! It's very much appreciated!
I want to also thank the people who have been advertising my contest. I'll acknowledge these people later because I'm on my phone and doing this on a computer would be much easier.
Judging will be done in one week. (School, of course, is interfering with my progress of things.)
Again, thank you very much for entering! Please check out all of the amazing entries below!
Yup yup! I am finally giving you the deets for the contest. Hope you will enter and have fun!
The theme of the contest is "Holidays." You must draw my character(s) in a holiday scene. It can be any holiday! Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, etc!
Rant smant pants Ant.I am not naming any names, and if you somehow know who/which ones, or what im talking about keep it to yourself.
I found out some people draw me things and are nice to me just to get free art back from me, or try to be my friend so they can get free art. I am disgusted with this kind of behaviour. there has been around 3 incidents now and whoever gets to know about stuff like this and decides to tells me, did the right thing and im very thankfull to know whats going on.
So im making this journal now incase more are sitting around doing this, because if I do find out I will not be a very happycrab
Not only this , but I also found out these people are real assholes towards other people. They ganged up on a 13 year old calling them a looser, they dont respect their friends and they dont even have the balls to talk to me directly.
If you are in a mindset that you will get art back from me by drawing me something then stop drawing me something. Its called a gi
Acorns and Ponies and Soapboxes
Controversy is once again brewing among fans of diminutive cartoon horses. It seems like a weekly ritual, this constant ebb and flow of panic and relief, unchecked caps-lock accompanied hyperbole and the arrogant dismissal of the concerns of an understandably protective fanbase. This time, though, the fear, worry, anger, and resentment are ratcheted up to 11 as folks worry for the future of the show as well as its most popular character. It all comes down to one question- is Twilight Sparkle- the adorkably awkward student of Princess Celestia about to ascend to Princesshood…uh, Princessdom? Princessity?
Is Twilight Sparkle going to turn into a princess permanently? And more to the point, what does this signify for the future of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Let me start by saying this- I’m not worried for two reasons. First, read the above sentence again. “Is Twilight Sparkle going to turn into a princess perm
