I know how you feel man... I had a similar problem, for a year only though... but eventually, I just got over her... I realized it ain't worth it.

This isn't a new issue btw, Rumi has been dead for 740 years...
"People so seldom say I love you And then it's either too late or love goes. So when I tell you I love you, It doesn't mean I know you'll never go, Only that I wish you didn't have to." - Rumi

DeviantArtSecret, if you can get a message to the person who sent this in, I'd like to give him/her the best advice I possibly can:

This happened to me all the time when I was younger, and after many times of searing, abject pain, I finally learned how to move past it, or at least start to work it out.

Tell her. If she's a good person, as I hope she is if she deserves your love, she'll be kind to you. But the point isn't what she has to say, the point is to get it out. Once SHE knows, the pressure and the hurt start to fade a little, to be released like a clog of debris in a creek.

It's scary. It's scary as shit. I had to tell a good friend of mine that I had feelings for him once, but I was clear about WHY I was telling him. And he let me work it out, and fourteen years later, we're still good friends.

And don't be afraid to do this. You're not ending the love, you're not destroying it, it's not going away. By doing this, you're allowing it to reintegrate into you and be of help. Spread the goodness, rather than the pain you're feeling right now.

Best of luck to you, as well. Unrequited love is a huge, horrible a-hole.

And in the end the young man commits suicide... as seen in Goethe's Sorrows of Young Werther. :(

Everyone knows how that goes.
If you know there's no shot at all, slowly allow yourself to move on.
Check out some of the girls on tv. or the computer or something. or girls yu see down the street.
Allow yourself to think they look cute or whatever.
Slowly, you'll be able to regain yourself.
That's how i did it.
