you're not fat!... and for all people that is saying that 97 isnt healthy, i weight that (and i measure 5'2/ 157'5 centimeters) and the other day in my high school they had made some health analysis to all students and they told me that mine's were like an athlete's one, so...
Werepuppy5 Featured By Owner Dec 27, 2012
honey don't ever think you are fat because you don't weight the same weight as your friend, you are perfect just the way you are. I went through the same thing you did earlier in my life

I have...the exact same, I understand...

Weight depends on height. I am 5'3" and weigh 150lbs. You are not fat

stop stop stop stop stop....stop I have friends that weigh more and less than me.last time i recall half my friends weigh more than you so don't you dare go into a "i'm not eating for 3 weeks" diet.

I can understand how you would feel this way though I sometimes feel like that but just remember nobody looks the same and anyone who hates on you well they just aren't happy with theirself either

97 is really small.. my sister is around that range however...she is much shorter than me,is smalled boned and works out alot... I am more like medium boned...I weight like 100 thugh..but I'm skinny...but well...trying to make a point that we all have a different shape! just because you aren't 97 doesn't mean you aren't "thin" and doesn't mean you don't look good .. :iconhugplz:

Everyone is beautiful! If you aren't happy with yourself, then make yourself happy and change things for the better.
I know I did, and I'm as happy as can be. c:

Dear Secret Teller,
I personally think you are not fat. I think you and your best friend are both beautiful no matter what weight you are and that weight should not matter. It's just society's influence that is making you insecure. So please hold your head up high, smile, and listen to the people who tell you that you look great at that weight; they believe you are beautiful too (:

i wish i was your weight then maybe my doctors would stop telling me to eat more than i already do.
Roxtar173 Featured By Owner Nov 28, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
I weigh 181. And you know what? I'm happy with the way I look. People would guess my weight and guess less than what I am, and that makes me happy enough. I still wish I weighed around 160, because I loved myself the most when I did, but since I don't, I still have to accept it and rock it! ;D Sweetheart, I hope you're happy with who you are :)
jtcheney Featured By Owner Nov 27, 2012  Hobbyist Writer
135 isn't fat. Most people don't want some anorexic stick of a girl, they'd rather have a girl that has some curves and some energy than someone that will order a salad and then pass out from exertion when lifting the fork.

Damn, I wish I was back down to 138...^^;
ArwynAtreides Featured By Owner Nov 26, 2012  Student Digital Artist
Excuse me. I'll be in the bathroom crying over my 150+ pounds =(T_T)= lol but seriously, different frames call for different weights to look good. I have a friend who is heavier than me but she has wider shoulders and a larger chest. And when all else fails I remind myself of the fact that muscle is heavier than fat! =(^..^)=
LovesToGiggle Featured By Owner Nov 25, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
For all the people saying 97 isn't healthy...I'm around that weight, and for my height (5'3"), my doctor says it's perfectly healthy. I eat right and get regular excercise (I'm a dancer). I just have high metabolism. I'm perfectly fine with the way my body is. All the people who say that weight deals with height, metabolism, muscle mass, etc... are right. If you know you're healthy, don't worry about it and love your body for what it is! <3
FizzyLuvsU Featured By Owner Nov 23, 2012  Hobbyist Artist
I bet you look gorgeous... I had the same problem in middle school. I was thin but my friend was thinner than me and I felt like I needed to lose weight even though people said my weight was fine :/
keidream Featured By Owner Nov 23, 2012
I struggle with this, too! My best friend and I used to be the same size, so we could share clothes and everything... It was uncomfortable when it got to the point where we couldn't. But everyone is built differently, and its important to find a way to love what you have and who you are. There will always be people thinner and heavier than you. If you look great, and you feel great, that's what's important.
mynameInigoMontoya Featured By Owner Nov 23, 2012  Student Writer
Weight is sometimes part of genetics. I have a friend who weighs less than her 10-year-old brother, and can't gain weight.I'm somewhere around 140, and I can sometimes feel my ribs. Weight isn't always determined by how much you eat or how much you exercise. Just be healthy
RaeGirl69 Featured By Owner Nov 22, 2012  Hobbyist Photographer
Hun, I wish I was 138 again. I'm stuck around 170
blackpoppies Featured By Owner Nov 22, 2012  Hobbyist Photographer
Weight isn't the only indicator of thinness; muscle weighs more than fat and your height, bone mass and general body type will also have an effect on your weight.

More to the point, your size isn't relative to your attractiveness! I know some people who are quite on the big size, and I truly can't imagine them being skinny. People suit being different sizes. At the end of the day, happiness and health are more important - those are the things which will make people see you as attractive. All your seeing on that scale is a number. It doesn't represent you, so please stop seeing it that way.

Good luck :)
frostyshadows Featured By Owner Nov 20, 2012  Student
Well I'm under 100 pounds and I'm actually insecure about being underweight. I always felt that my friends that are a bit heavier than me are prettier. maybe your friend feels the same? 138 is totally fine :)
blubrryblu Featured By Owner Nov 21, 2012
Dude. Same with me. I'm under 100 pounds, and I think that girls who have are a little heavier look great. I'm so jealous of the girls who can look so awesome and curvy in skinny jeans.

she must be a different body type then you, some people naturally weigh different. Dont change yourself im sure you are perfect the way you are :). And trust me some people who are that thin only want to be about your weight, its a never ending cycle.
inkstaineddove Featured By Owner Nov 19, 2012  Hobbyist Writer
If you're taller then her, you're at a perfect weight. It's all relative.
imagreekgoddess Featured By Owner Nov 19, 2012  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
a healthy weight varys from person to person you prob weigh more than her because you have bigger bones.
CoyoteDove Featured By Owner Nov 19, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
Hun it is really bad to be 97 pounds. It is seriously unhealthy and puts you at a greater risk of cardiac arrest if you aren't, like, 4' tall. I wish I was 138 pounds, I'm around 110 and I feel like crap because my lack of weight leaves me in the dirt around others. I feel super week and unable to do things. If you feel healthy, not if you think you are healthy, but if you FEEL healthy at 138lbs then you are fine, that is a very healthy weight.
broken-and-whole Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012
DITO! But I guess it really doesnt matter because people love you more for your personality and not your wait! Keep your head up! Its no big deal! :)
sam7elric Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
I remember being 138 pounds... I'm 160 now, and feel like CRAP now... If you feel good, You should be fine.
X-5-4-5-2 Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012
If they say you look good at the weight you are, you should kinda believe them. I say kinda because most people will not tell the whole truth when talking about appearances. Ask a gym teacher, trainer, or doctor.

I used to be 135lbs. I was HOT. I'm 190 now. I need to lose weight, but honestly... I'm still pretty cute.
LCextrordinaire Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Hey, I'll tell you, being skinny isn't all it's built up to be. I mean, your pants never stay up. I way 97 lbs on the dot, and I hate it.
SoraIsMyHomeboy Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
i don't know how old you are, but i'm guessing a weight of 97 is not healthy for your friend's age or size. not only that, but everyone has a different size and weight that's appropriate for them. it shouldn't be anything to be ashamed of. if people tell you that you look great, great! the weight doesn't matter.

p.s. muscle is heavier than fat so maybe you're just really strong :D
MPgirl911 Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
I really worry about how people view mt weight compared to their's, because one of my friends became bulimic because she found out that I (prior to puberty) weighed 10 pounds less than her (who'd already gone through puberty). Puberty definitely adds weight. Yet I've also found pudgier girls to get boyfriends easier than me or my other super skinny friends. And obviously your best friend doesn't care, so why should you?
Chiorro Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Student Digital Artist
Weight isn't just fat. It includes muscle, bones, organs, and then the area's that usually need or have fat like breasts, our butt, etc. Different bodies also have different body structures. I had a friend who was skinny as a twig. Literally, no fat on her. She ate a lot though. Her metabolism was just very fast. I was a little self concious around her until I realized, that's just how she is. My family consists of tall, strong and almost buff-like women, which really made me insecure because I didn't want to be big and tall, but I do have curves and fairly nice breasts (although, I wish they were smaller ;3; )

What I'm trying to say is, every body structure is different, and just because you weigh more doesn't mean you're fatter.
AmericanGirlHope Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Hobbyist Digital Artist
As the other people said, weight doesn't matter and that your weight isn't too bad at all. It is also dependant on your gender and height for average weight as well. For example, you're super skinny for someone of my height (5'9") :3
avrilpotter Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012
I used to be really aware of my weight but then I realized when someone loves you, they don't care about numbers: weight, age, height, shoe size.... or anything. A quote that helps is: "The scale can only give you a numerical reflection of your relationship with gravity. That's it. It cannot measure beauty, talent, purpose, life force, possibility, strength, or love."
Basically, weight means nothing and if it bothers someone else, then they aren't worth your time. :)
crystelclear1104 Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Hobbyist Writer
As the first comment says, weight is not just a matter of how thin or fat you are. It also has to do with muscle, your body type, etc. I'm sure you look great at that weight. :)
xXxshadowsneakxXx Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Hobbyist Writer
ok, that's not too big....i'm around 200 pounds! haha! And don't judge yourself by your weight. Please? That's just horrible
Alessandra-De-Luca Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Student Digital Artist
I weigh about 16 stone, a stone (15lbs) larger than the average guy my age and taller than me. I sit there and call myself fat and people tell me I look fine the way I am but I still have to lose weight. A contradiction...
hellhound249 Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Student Photographer
Hun, 138 isn't heavy! You are beautiful! And you have a great self conscious for being aware of yourself. But you need to look beyond the scale. (And rule #1 never compare your scale to someone elses!)
PrimEverdeen Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Student Writer
I weigh 95 pounds. People in my school call me freak, deformed, stick, twig, twingy, string bean, beanpole and more. I wish I could be your weight so it would end. You're not fat, you're just the way life intended you to be, you're not fat. You are beautiful.
(Trust me those names I said are no lie and annoying! not fun)
BurningSeagulls Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012
First of all, 138 pounds isn't fat hun :]
Yes, I myself weigh 117, so I guess I don't really have the right to speak. (People call me a stick. It gets annoying.)
It's not big at all.
One of my friends is 150, she she is NOT fat.
Either way, I'm sure your just as beautiful as anyone you compare yourself too.
MangaEngel Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Student Digital Artist
A good (male) friend of mine weights 110 Kilograms. He is more then 2m big.
My weight is about 30 Kilograms higher then the weight of my best friend. But she is only 1.60 big and I'm almost 1.80.

There are many things that define weight.
Bones (larger people have larger bones) and muscles are heavier then fat.
So it can happen that you weight even double of your friend, only by being muscula and big in comparison to her.

Just go to a doctor and ask him for his opinion, if you fear, you could be seriously fat.
He will maybe tell you, how to loose weight, but "fat" is when you normally weight around 150 kilograms, not when you are a bit rounder then super models :)
ThousandCookie Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012   Digital Artist
Give it time and try to stop comparing yourself. Comparing yourself to others is rarely healthy behaviour, for the mind or the body.

I once dropped a way below 120, and although the only person who could change my mind was myself, my friends noticing probably helped a little, if only because it showed that people noticed. Things like "I'm sorry, but I'm not linking arms with you anymore because your elbows are like spears," "Dude, I can see the bone of your nose, what the hell?" and "Hannah, I miss your ghetto bootang." I also didn't really realise it at the time, but you can also quite easily notice my ribs on my sister's wedding photos, although it took my friend pointing it out when he visited for me to notice.

It takes time, but you can learn to accept yourself and see your "flaws" in a positive light. If people say you look great at this weight, you probably do.
CahjesaalLesou-n Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012   Writer
The number is unimportant. It's the feeling you have that counts.
PyroMorticia Featured By Owner Nov 18, 2012  Student General Artist
Remember, weight isn't all about how fat or thin you are. It's based on how big or small you are (tall/short, stocky/lanky) and how much muscle you have as well. One person's healthy weight is NOT another person's healthy weight.
