What a cute secret! And reading all these comments below me was also nice.
I've -like many here apparently- met my boyfriend online. Through an MMORPG! And he's from a foreign country... I was scared to meet him as well... I thought maybe he wouldn't like me afterall because I'm tall (6 foot baby), and back then I had pimple prone skin. Just from worrying I had a major outbreak. I travelled alone from my home country all the way to Italy. And indeed... He is one head shorter than me! I got told very often in Italy how I'm "too tall". But he didn't mind :) :) After a year he moved to my country, saying goodbye to his family and friends only to meet them during holidays, he sacrificed that to be together. We've been sharing our lives for 3 years, and all is going well :D
Believe in yourself and believe in the ones you love. :D

I met my husband on the net and I love him. He didn't always tell the truth in the start I wish he had of, I wouldn't of changed my mind. I was always completly honest and had faith, it paid off :) Best of luck <3

I met my boyfriend on this site nearly four years ago, we started dating nearly a year and a half ago and plan to be living together soon. I was in love with him before I could even remember his real name. He isnt the best looking thing out there (to be shallow and blunt) but I was so in love with him by the time I saw what he looks like that I didnt care (and he didnt care about my appearance, or that when I met him at the train station I looked like a wreck despite trying to look nice), to me he is perfect.
And if your boyfriend truly loves you he wont care what you look like either.

Honestly my fiance and I met online. I understand how you feel. I was so afraid. Every day I thought to myself until we met finally. "What if he doesn't like me?" "What if he is really a rapist?" "What if he dumps me after all the money and trouble it took to get here." I was so afraid of that when I was on the hour long van ride from the air port to his town.... Took a cab and was trying not to cry in fear. It was past 11pm there and I flew from the east coast to see him.... If there was something wrong what would happen where would I go?....

But instead of that the moment I saw him he hugged me and told me honestly... after I pulled a cliche romance movie entrance and tripped as I was getting out of the van... And he caught me. He laughed and well later that week he proposed to me. Now... Things are really good.

Nearly six years ago I met my (now) husband online, we knew each other about a year before meeting face-to-face. It was terrifying to take that step, it took a lot to even give my number out back then, so I know how you feel...but if you're comfortable with the person and trust them then it's worth taking the chance.

Its pretty freaky when you meet people from the net face to face for the first time. You know them so well but you also have no idea who they are. It's so strange but kind exciting too sometimes.
