First: God loves you too much to kill you. God loves you too much to leave you alone. God loves you too much to abandon you.
God isn't like your father. God loves you without condition and with no expectation of you loving Him in return. If you can't feel God, if you feel like He is never there, call out to him daily, show Him you want to feel His love. God is faithful.
Second: being gay is a sin, just like sex before marriage and viewing pornography. Scoff if you like, but just because the media says it is acceptable does not mean it is. The good news? Being gay is not who you are, it is not your identity, and it does not have to control your future.
If you are a Christian, if you believe that Jesus is fully God and fully Man and died on the cross to take your sin, then you are a child of God, with no condemnation because of your repentance. Ask God to change your perspective, and take away the feelings that are crippling you with fear of your father.
God is faithful.
