Sometimes we're all misunderstood. And when someone can't understand someone, relate to someone, or are left in the dark when it comes to ones thoughts they think there is something wrong. Especially when they see that they can't get through to someone their only solution is there has to be something wrong. I get it.

I have to say I disagree with :devsilly-little-flower, respectfully. I think the reason she is feeling this way is perhaps her father believes something needs to be fixed, while the daughter believes there is nothing wrong with is. Maybe she is gay or something?

At least he cares about you. A lot of people on DAS complain about their dads being ignorant assholes, so I'd appreciate having a loving father who worries about you.

Sometimes therapy/counselling is offered by a parent out of laziness or ignorance, because it's easier than having to work through the problem by themselves, and that may be the situation here.

Yeah, my dad always tells me the same thing and I know it's just because he doesn't want to have to admit that I am where I am because of his decisions, he wants it to be all in my head. And to not have to deal with it himself.

This is the thing, it can so easily go that way. Or, it could be a gesture of love on the STs dad's part. It's so hard to tell from just the image :/

I hope that your dad works things out, though, and that you two find some peace with each other.

Sounds like your dad just loves you too much. He sounds like mine. You just need to tell him to his face "Stop worrying, Daddy. I'm okay."
