Of the ones I've read, this one resonated deep within me.

I once met this guy who became my best friend (we've known each other since 2005). I was never attracted to him in anyway, be it romantically or physically. We just really liked hanging out with one another all the time. I knew alot of things about him, things even his family never knew about him.

One day my heart skipped a beat when I saw him. And out of respect I told him I liked him, so he would be careful about the things he did around me so he wouldn't hurt my feelings. I never meant anything by it except that he give me time to make the feelings go away. Eventually he also developed feelings too. And out of mischievous nature we followed our feelings, not really expecting anything to last.

We've been together 4 years and plan to get married after we finish our MFA. And he's still my best friend.

So my note to you: ask him what he wants. If he's cool with it, then why not? That's what I did anyway. XD

Why don't you just ask him what he wants? It's not totally out there, you know, if he's open to it then why not? This isn't a decision you can make on your own anyways. I know you wish you could do it anonymously, but that's unfair to him.

That's sweet that you want to do that for him. :) But I think it will be more special to him if you let him receive his first kiss from someone he is romantically attracted to.

you want to give it to me anonymously? kiss him in his sleep. if you can handle the moral implications of kissing someone without their consent that is.

or arrange for him to kiss someone with his eyes closed and do it. if you can make sure he doesn't know it's you.

kissing a friend you're not romantically interested in creates a lot of complications. he may fall for you. in fact odds are very good he will. guys tend to do that with their first kiss.

I strongly advise you not to kiss him in his sleep! He may not want that at ALL and it's a horrible violation of someone's privacy and consent. As an aromantic person, if someone decided to take pity on me and kiss me because it hasn't happened yet, I would find that horrible and really upsetting - kissing sounds pretty much gross to me unless maybe in very special circumstances. Which would not be by one of my friends in my sleep.
