It's okay, person. You're just a personality type four, like me.

It'll help a lot, believe me.
ColoringTheRain Featured By Owner Apr 30, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
Is there a way to figure out what type you are? I wanna know myself :)
FalnAnglYin Featured By Owner Apr 30, 2012  Student General Artist
It's basically whatever stands out to you the most. The Enneagram Institute has tests, but you have to pay for them and it's not worth it. Don't trust any test you find on the internet, they're stupid and made by morons.

You really just have to figure it out yourself. You know yourself better than anyone. Just read through the different types, and decide which one stands out to you more. :)

Alright thanks!
FalnAnglYin Featured By Owner Apr 30, 2012  Student General Artist
No problem :)

I now actually believe i'm a personality type 4 too.
..never knew there was a name for it.
FalnAnglYin Featured By Owner Apr 30, 2012  Student General Artist
A lot of people don't know about Enneagram :) Many artists are type 4, which makes sense; we're the most emotional! Plus, our internal voice telling us we're so different (even if we're not) from everyone else, helps fuel our emotions. Therefore, we create art :) It's only a bad thing when emotions overtake you. You should also read the "wings" and "lines". I'm a 4 with a 3 wing, which means I'm mostly a 4, but I have the success oriented part of the 3.

Each type has it's levels, from 1 through 9, and if we let our levels deplete, bad things happen (like with this person on the secret). So make sure you nurture your 4ness, and when things in your life happen, recognize your levels.

It's also a lot of fun to read the other types and type your friends XD

wow.. i just clicked your link and read a text describing exactly me.. didnt know there was a term for this. i know the link was intended for the person with this secret, but it actually was very helpful to me. As much as I don't like to admit this, I recognised myself in nearly every word.. :o
FalnAnglYin Featured By Owner Apr 29, 2012  Student General Artist
The Enneagram is scarily accurate. I myself am a type 4 personality, and it helps to be self-aware so when you're having problems with you're identity or freaking out. Fours are very emotional, we wear our hearts on our sleeves in every aspect.

I especially got into Enneagram (I realized this fact later) BECAUSE I am a 4, and because we fours are constantly trying to find ourselves. I'm also into astrology. Fours are always looking for themselves.

But seriously, if you really get into it (and since you may be a 4, you probably will) then it's a lot of fun to figure out your friends and family, and can also be very helpful in understanding the people around you :)

if you feel like you need help, then seek help. Plenty of people that seek out counseling don't fit into a certain diagnosis.

I feel this way all the time... I draw all over my hands, I listen to music OBSESSIVELY, I find solace in technology and my best friend Haileigh, and I'm different in every way possible... And people hate me for it. Even my own mother, even though she refuses it.

this is how i think most days

I felt like that too, for ages...
I'd like to cheer you up by giving you advice, but the only thing I can say is,

join the club, I'll meet you in the afterlife

Story of my freaking life. I always think over everything I do, everything I think, and I think, I'm normal.. right? But I have this itching feeling there's just.. something wrong with me, and I'm afraid one day it'll just all come out
psychicwallofenergy Featured By Owner Apr 12, 2012
if it helps, your penmanship is below average :)
DeathsSympathy Featured By Owner Apr 2, 2012
honestly the best thing to do is tell someone. let it out. It really helps.
Nymphadora47 Featured By Owner Mar 23, 2012
This sounds as if it came from me...and everyone who is saying to talk to a doctor or therapist, YOU'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS.

The fear of insanity, while also already having accepted it...the fear of people thinking I'm crazy for thinking I'm crazy...Not being crazy and having to live my life like this...

lizzy-chan5 Featured By Owner Mar 21, 2012  Student
i'd suggest talking to a doctor. it sounds like a symptom of anxiety or something related to that
finalkingdon7 Featured By Owner Mar 21, 2012
Tell a close friend or parents or maybe see a therapist. That should help
ILikeASkater Featured By Owner Mar 21, 2012  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
I have the same problem >.<

Find someone who will listen. Councilors are usually pretty decent for that. They know what questions to ask in order for you to see what is (or what isn't) wrong with you. Friends or familie can get the trick done as well...
girlgoplayer Featured By Owner Mar 20, 2012  Student General Artist
find some one to tell all this to...

This looks so much like my friend Anna's handwriting. I hope it's not....
LonelySorceress Featured By Owner Mar 20, 2012  Student Photographer
I'm .... kind of the same. I say "kind of" because I do have issues. But I'm waiting for the day when I just explode. Part of me really wants it, because possibly it might feel so freeing, but the other part is really scared of what I might do or say if I do go BANG!

It's tricky. But like everyone else has said, go talk to someone. That first step is the hardest, but it is worth it.
SoraIsMyHomeboy Featured By Owner Mar 19, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
this was me for so many years of my life. my suggestion would be to tell someone how you feel. i know that sounds really cliche or stupid but please here me out. talking to a really close friend or adult that you trust will help so much. this welled up inside of me and ate at me and destroyed me until i finally told my friends about it. since that day, it feels like a weight was lifted.
vivicool995 Featured By Owner Mar 19, 2012  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
I relate to this so much.
serget2 Featured By Owner Mar 19, 2012
This might sound stupid but "just let go". Open up to someone you can trust, everyone needs help and that help might just be someone to listen, a hand to hold, a hug or a shoulder to cry on. I've spent a lifetime being tough and cool, and i fall into that trap everyday. Once learned is hard to unlearn, I guess. But eventually tough and cool will hit a steel reinforced door that's impossible to break, no matter how tough, no matter how cool. And you will snap like a twig, break down and cry, it's then that you need a friend to tell you that the only way to open the door, is to turn the knob gently. To me my wife is that person, she often walks with me through that door holding my hand, making me tougher and cooler than my act of tough and cool ever was.

Just start small. Tell a friend, or your parents and go from there. You should be able to talk about your problems, I guarantee it will make you feel better.
MeganHitachiin Featured By Owner Mar 19, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
Give therapy a try ... my therapist (okay all of them including speech therapy, occupational therapy and counseling) help me get to where I am today. I was scared at first but now I understand that just because I needed help does not make me less of a person. Everyone needs help sometimes but it takes a brave person to ask for it. Give it a try and you may find what you need.
Snorkelhead Featured By Owner Mar 19, 2012
I've been in this situation, and still am some days, just take a deep breath and take it day by day, talk to someone if you need ir, or start a journel and get your feelings out <3
Hebitsu Featured By Owner Mar 19, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
I feel the same way..
Tada-no-Yume Featured By Owner Mar 19, 2012  Hobbyist Writer
There's Nithing wrong with needing help.
If you think you need it, go get it.
It's better than waiting till you snap.
Hawk-Moth Featured By Owner Mar 18, 2012  Student Writer
It's not wrong for you to ask for some help. I had minor anger problems as a result of some past conflicts. Nothing serious, I didn't ask for a help for a while because I thought it would make me a crazy person. The truth of the matter is, is that everybody in the world needs a therapist. If you feel you need to talk with someone and get help, do it. I guarantee, as a former therapy goer, that it'll help you. Talking my problems out has made me a stronger person, and taught me how to deal with my anger in a healthy manner.
SynestheticSoul Featured By Owner Mar 19, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
I agree, I feel like everyone should see a therapist just because. It can really help just to /talk/ things out and have someone listen and be there for you with no bias.

Don't worry ST, you have nothing to be ashamed of. Talk to someone, let it out. Breathe.
JadeKrystal Featured By Owner Mar 18, 2012  Student General Artist
"everybody in the world needs a therapist" - you are so absolutely right.

Don't feel alone ST.
If you need help, don't feel ashamed.
Hawk-Moth Featured By Owner Mar 19, 2012  Student Writer
Yeeep, the world would be better place if everyone had at least a couple therapy sessions. These days, therapy isn't about "curing" some sort of disorder, it's mostly about trying to talk things through and understand yourself and those around you.
PunkNarumi Featured By Owner Mar 18, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
Just get help. There's no shame in it, and there's no "I should be better". It's okay to need help, we all do sometimes. Hell, there's nothing wrong with needing attention--everyone does sometimes. And often the people deemed to be "crying out for attention" are exactly the people who would be fine if they had a hug and someone to talk to. Again, nothing wrong with it. If you ever need someone to even vent to, I'm here ST, alright?
Wolf-In-The-Walls Featured By Owner Mar 18, 2012  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Oh ST, I used to be like this... maybe I was worse. I was scared of getting help, I'm STILL scared of getting help.

What you need to do is take that first step yourself if no one is going to help you. I have faith in you, ST! Go out into the world and take one of the hands reaching out to you.
