I've had family and friends that always seemed to have other people in their life first. I mean, they like me, but it seemed like I came in when they had time away from everything else. Even a good friend of mine didn't seem to make time for me until she wasn't being hogged by everyone else. Although she did have a lot of friends and relatives trying to grab her all the time. Plus I was living in a kind of tense home where some people felt unwelcome.

But on the OTHER hand, I have this friend who was kind of crazy about me, athough we're just friends. Seriously, he used to want to hang out with me almost every chance he got. It was kind of annoying even, sometimes, because I didn't always feel the same way. One time he even told me he skipped out on playing football with his guy friends to come hang out with me beause he cared about me. How special is that?

Although it's not quite like that now, though I think that has a lot to do with the fact that we have personalities that kind of clash sometimes, and I got mad at him a number of times because sometimes he acted like a jerk, and I ended up avoiding him for a long time, and hurt his feelings. Now he has other things going on in his life a lot. Though, we've made up and we're still good friends. And now, looking back I appreciate it very much that he used to put me first.

Anyway, although my situation changed, it happened to me. One person put me first when I seemed to come last for everyone else. One person chose me over others. One person wanted to be with me the most. It doesn't even entirely make sense to me, but it definitely happened, and I'm sure it was real. You never know. Just try to appreciate them if that happens to you.

I know someone who is like this and it has hurt our relationship because he still believes it, but I chose him over everybody else, and still he pushes me away. It's hard to believe, but there is someone out there that will like you for you, and when you find them the worst thing you can do is push them away. People will hurt you, but you will find love.

I have the same thing with my friends

Actually just today one of them called me and asked "Can you come to watch Titanic in 3D with me, if X can't come with me?"

And even this friend X was a replacement, 'cause my friend's best friend couldn't make it...
