:D I studied it by reading books in primary school. All the kids made fun of me, but now I write stories that people like. Screw them all!!

When I started college, I wanted to make that my minor. One of the colleges I'm looking at ... has a few classes. I think it's awesome that you want to do this. Please, go for it anyways. If it makes you happy, that is what really matters. Go out there, do what you love, and be one of the people to find the next amazing species like the Giant Panda!!

I think cryptozoology is cool, although I can be quite skeptical of some of it. I also like the idea of parapsychology, although pretty much every "psychic" or whatever I've seen/heard of is an absolute charlatan.

I'm pretty sure cryptozoological creatures are ones like Big Foot/Yeti, Loch Ness monster, chupacabras, and whatnot. Mythical, in my mind, means more like gryphons, dragons, phoenixes....

When I was younger (elementary school-ish) I wanted to be a cryptozoologist. I read a lot into the subject. Still love research about such things, but I realize as a profession there isn't much there.

If I knew you IRL we'd be best bros OP :D

People who are narrow minded don't understand as much as they should. Don't pay attention to them, keep doing what you love!

"It's NOT the study of 'mythical' creatures."
According to every definition I could find, that's EXACTLY what it is.
