Close your eyes, shut out all noise, listen to your heart beat. Notice the rise and fall of each breath. Feel each limb, each finger and toe. Pretend a warmth is enveloping your body. Spreading out from the center of your back, it wraps around and down the length of your arms and legs before finally bursting across your stomach and climbing up to your chest. It continues up your throat and over your chin and lips only to fully encompass you at the top of your head.
When all sides edge of the warmth meet in the center of your head, the warmth grows and soaks deep into your muscles and bones, heating every cell of your body. You are calm, you are safe, cared for, loved. Open your mouth and breathe in. Breathe in all that warmth and light. Feel it collect in the center of your chest, around your heart, keeping it safe and alive. You feel empowered, strong, ambitious. You can do anything. Exhale. Breathe out the dark and lonely things. They do not belong in the brighter, warmer you. The dark things breed corruption, they have no place among the likes of you. Open your eyes and see. See everything. The trees, the earth, the sky, the grass, animals, mountains, etc. There are no limits to what you can do. All you need to do, is to start.
