:highfive: Same here. I think it's downright nonsensical how so much of society revolves around who regularly goes to bed with who.

Just once I'd like to see a movie that doesn't look like they spliced in a reel from a rom-com by mistake...

Sex is one of those things society makes you believe you simply MUST partake in to be normal. You see it as simply necessary for life, and that's okay. It's more than okay. It's what you believe, and that's what matters.

ST, I sympathize. You wouldn't believe the crap I get about being 24 and not being that interested in sex. Especially since I'm gay (because you know, all gay men think about is sex, right?).

I find it interesting that you compare having sex with brushing one's teeth. :XD:

I feel kind of like that too...I figured it was because I'd watched too much porn or something like that but this makes me feel more normal. I mean, sure, I guess it was kind of nice but it wasn't awe inspiring and amazing like some people say it is. It was just...meh, sex.

I don't see how it's not accepted in society, you don't have to have sex if you don't want to. I kinda feel like you're putting your own stigma on sex, forcing yourself to do it. So if you don't like it, don't do it, and try to find a partner that understands your feelings about sex. Just because you don't want/like sex doesn't mean you don't like intimacy (or maybe you don't, I don't know). Those are things you need to talk about with your partner, honestly and openly.

Rather then the person being asexual, the first thing I would ask is if they've ever had an orgasm before. I was very indifferent about sex (only liked it because of the pleasure my partners got out of it) until I had my first orgasm with a partner. For some women it's very hard to orgasm during sex and things like manual stimulation need to happen.

Unless the poster is a male... then I dunno o_o

You sound like you're grey-a or asexual. Welcome to the club! Don't worry, we're making ourselves hears slowly but surely.

If you don't like it, don't do it. I know it's probably in the interest of keeping the relationship, but you shouldn't stay in a relationship that requires sex, especially since you say you wish others would see it your way. Kinda contradictory.

Like leelee said, you're probably just asexual. Nothing wrong with it.
