Anime is just another medium, a form of art where someone has poured their ideals and morals into.
I mean, it is more likely to have things like fanservice and bizarre happenings to create humor or keep things dynamic, but that's not to say that it doesn't have awesome laughs and lessons to take away.
The worst part of it is, at a con, she threw a fit because two girls were kissing.
Try to find a half-term AND discuss it with your mom. Example... Watch only 1 hour of anime per day, maximum. And in return, you spend 1 hour learning something new, everyday. And live more, because even though anime taught you about friendship and love, nothing can replace the real thing... I'm sure she'll come to her senses
It helped me with some issues.
funny how some people on here are calling anime annoying on here eh? maybe you can see your mother's opinion in a different light?
But still, anime has helped me too
