I only hate valentines day because I can never enjoy it with my husband. Ever. Because every single person on valentines day ruins it with their rude, self centered comments.

Shut up.

Some of us ARE in love..

Instead we celebrate Zach-entine's day (my husbands name is Zach) 2 or 3 days later.

I've only spend one Valentine's day with a guy. But really, going on a date on any other day is better than that. :giggle:

My Grandmother's birthday is on Valentine's Day. <3 That's the only reason it matters to me. Otherwise it's just a sillly/fun holiday that I only bother with half of the time.

i never liked this day
society forces you to pretend happy and giving and if you don't have somebody you should have a shitty day?
its a day as everyone else. this year i was like "oh, valentines day was already a week ago? how nice i didn't notice" :)

I treat Valentine's Day as my day to be thankful for all the awesome people in my life. I do nice things for friends and family, and just sit back and reflect on how lucky I am that I met these people.

I've never thought of it as a day for lovers and significant others, because...I never had one, and it seemed silly to me to throw everyone else in my life out the window on that day. For me, Valentine's Day is about friends. Though I guess maybe I lucked out, 'cause even if some of my friends ditch me for their romantic partners, they've never ALL done that to me.
