I know the feeling... I gave one of my friends such good feedback once because I couldn't draw a person in the past, but then when I was about to draw she snatched away the pencil and just said it in my face;

"I'll draw it. My drawings are better then yours."

All art is beautiful. Each piece says "this is what I can do now. Watch and see what I can do in another six months."

I used to be like ST, but then got this mindset and now I feel confident about my art. Truth are in your words :)

Exactly! If you don"t have confidence anywhere else keep some in your artwork! Otherwise you'll never survive in this cruel cruel world.

Ignore those people; your art is cute in its own way judging by the pic c: They are just the ones who expect more fancy shmancy detail

I know that feel. Or something you worked so hard on, and they only say cool. Or when you just scribbled a horrible little drawing, they praise it more. :( It's okay to feel this way. But just remember your good enough for yourself.

don't worry, there's no such thing as a 100% fair critic because everyone has their own opinion on what art is, some people think that realistic is the only true art, and that cartoon shouldn't be called "art" some people don't care is your back leg is crooked or if your nose is a bit too big, other's think that only the art that is smooth and perfect (in their eyes) is worth comments and favs, some people don't care and just want to see you improve or grow, it doesn't matter if you're good or not it just matters if you keep doing what you love.
if you love drawing, keep doing it! if you only draw because it what the people around you want to see, I'd stop and branch out.
but that's my opinion ;)
