Wow!!
I never met anyone with it before. It makes me curious! Especially since there is more space for the light to hit the retina, it makes me wonder if that increases the range of sight.. really intriguing :)

It doesn't. Pupil is so small so the light can enter the eye only in specific angle. Coloboma could only make interference between light entering in 90 degrees angle through the pupil and light entering from all around through coloboma and reflecting randomly
(embryology is such a bitch. few years ago I'd say it's so cool, but now I only see medical background :( )
